Looking at the beer list over our head — the one that started with “Get Maxxinated!” — Suzi said she found the one for me, which is interesting, since I don’t drink.

After an excellent lunch of chicken schnitzel and mashed potatoes, I had my mask on since we were about to leave, but my mouth didn’t need to be visible for Suzi to see what I thought of her suggestion.

Never thought much about borders before …

Blink, and you’ll miss it.

Look anywhere but the side of the road, and you’ll miss it.

Try very hard to run the car in front of you off the road because they’re trying to figure out where to turn and you just have to get where you’re going right now, and you’ll miss it.

I don’t get people, part whatever

Because no road in Massachusetts is ever truly done, I came across a resurfacing project on the way home from an appointment.

It meant the road was rough, and traffic was down to one lane because of work on the side of the road.

The officer put his hand up to stop my lane, but it was only going to be a minor inconvenience.

The worst game ever

It was likely in the wee small hours of an October morning in 2004, and I was not happy.

As I was spitting and sputtering before going to bed, my wife Suzi tried to tell me there was no need to be upset.

After all, the Yankees only needed to win one more game.
