In the District: Yes, there were pandas

I didn’t want to reduce our visit to the National Zoo to seeing the pandas, because while pandas are cool, it’s a big zoo.

Also, they had elephants, and elephants will always be impressive.

And they had the proverbial lions, tigers and bears.

And whatever this little guy was.

But when we walked past the panda enclosure, and none of them had come outside, I confess that I started to get worried. I knew I would enjoy the rest of zoo (and I did), but as much as I tried not to, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed at the possibility of not seeing the pandas.

However, when we went inside the panda house, there they were, in all their roly poly glory.

Yeah, pandas are really cool.
