I am reminded again of a previous trip to New York City.
Almost two years ago, I wrote about how it had been a year since I had been there, and how I hoped it wouldn’t be another year before going back.
But here we are.
I miss the lights. I miss the noise. I miss the energy.
I miss Times Square. I miss the High Line. I miss Broadway. I miss wondering what is being promoted above the Majestic Delicatessen Cafe.
I miss Madison Square Garden. I miss Yankee Stadium.
I miss wondering what new adventures await just by walking out the door … and there’s always a new adventure.
We’re closing in on three years now. I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I will be back.
Someday, I will be back.
There’s no other city like it! I spent a good part of my youth there, but haven’t been back in years…

I feel the same way about all travel right now. Miss the energy of being elsewhere, but don’t know when I’ll get back.
