Time to get moving

Oh, hello, maker of loud noises to make me get out of bed.

I remember you.

A friend recently told me a story about hitting snooze on her alarm multiple times and then dilly-dallying so long that she was late for something. I asked her, if she was going to sleep longer, why she didn’t just set her alarm a half-hour later.

She didn’t really have an answer, although between her and the other people at the party, I got the impression that it feels better because it’s like cheating somehow.

To each their own, I guess. I’d rather not get woken up multiple times while I’m trying to sleep.

I used to have a rotation-ish, at least for pants, and then I’d mix and match shirts. But after a couple years, the relevant question is probably “What still fits?”

“Do you have your clothes picked out for the first day of school?”

“Do you have your big-boy clothes ready?”

Turns out my wife and my mother were on the same wavelength.

I guess we’ll find out.

Wish me luck.

Here goes nothing.

UPDATE 1: I was already starting to wake up at 4 a.m. Nerve-induced insomnia is not fun.

UPDATE 2: I wore black slacks and a purple button-down. A nice, basic Monday outfit.

UPDATE 3: It went fine.
