I may never try it again.
I may regret trying it once.
But in one of those “What the heck?” moments, I decided to try recording my thoughts about a very odd noise in my house instead of writing about them.
It’s a little wonky — the transitions to when I start talking aren’t very smooth — but it’s a first time out of the gate and I’ll try to figure it out if I keep going.
If nothing else, it’s a chance to hear the sound of my voice, so here you go.
STUFF I WROTE
The Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award — My pal Savannah from Sunshine with Savannah chose me to answer some questions.
When life catches you off-guard — I was so carefree on my vacation last August … and then I came back.
STUFF I READ
Rebuilding: part one (My Life In Triplicate) — Back from Pittsburgh. “Now, the work begins.”
I’m Working With A Career Councillor (Uniquely Cass) — Job-hunting is … not … fun.
Things I’ve learned about being a parent during lockdown (A Dating Dad) — “A calm sea doesn’t make for a skilled mariner.”
First blogiversary (Smelly Socks and Garden Peas) — The first of many, I hope.
Joyeux Anniversaire (Buffalo Sauce Everywhere) — Renata’s 21st birthday was a little different than what most people would probably find typical.
Cynicism, Racism, and Us (The Captain’s Speech) — It’s up to Us.
Zooming Away To Another Meeting (James Proclaims!) — So, meetings are basically no different than they were before.
Tooth-Hurty During a Pandemic (BEXoxoBlog) — I probably would have yanked my own tooth out with pliers first.
Happy, happy birthday (Sunshine with Savannah) — Savannah’s husband Chad turns 26.
“Thereby Hangs A Tale.” (The Baseball Bloggess) — I do not know how she finds this stuff.
Do dreams mean anything? (Millennial Life Crisis) — Can anybody help Vee with this one?
So I Finished Reading the Harry Potter Series … (Strikeouts + Sprinkles) — I’ve never read any of the books, but for the people who have, what’s do you think of her take on them?
The Many Places We Call Home (Rosie Culture) — It’s not necessarily the place where we live right now.
TWEETS I LIKED
Yes
Because that was what he did …
… and now, he’s telling people not to be a “knucklehead.” I would advise listening.
We all have the capacity to learn and grow.
But … I don’t even go to therapy …
Glad to know I’m not the only one who has “other” days. (By the way, I’ve done this while talking on the phone.)
I also did a thing … wondering how I could eat that whole thing and still be able to fit in my clothes.
Thanks for the shoutout, Bill! Also congrats on the new pod!!! ☺️

Your accent sounds exactly like I thought it would. Currently listening to the podcast that isn’t a podcast. lol

You kind of do. You just don’t have a ‘BAWSTON’ accent.

A podcast! (Or whatever you want to call it.)
Awww … Thanks for the mention!
And, now I’m putting on my Yoga teacher cap. (We don’t really wear caps, but you know what I mean.) When I’m practicing Yoga on my own, I keep a clock (or the clock on my phone) next to my mat. I set the alarm so at the chill’axing time at the end of my practice, I’ll know when to stop (or when to wake up). Did I solve that part of the mystery? 🙂
I’m looking forward to more of your pod-whatever-you-call-it-casts!

Thanks!
Oh, she told me why she had the clock. She doesn’t wear a watch, but likes to know how much time is left. I just didn’t know why the alarm was on.

Honestly I had that same thought about using pliers on my tooth and I probably would have done it too if I weren’t so vain and in so much pain.
… and I would have done it on a train, in the rain… I couldn’t refrain. 😉
